Halal Food Rations
IMGC was the first company in the region to provide HALAL and culturally suitable MRE and Rations in the region. We introduced the concept of a 7-Day Food Ration Pack which included both bulk and Ready to Eat Meals for a family of four which would last 4 days. This was one of the most successful programs as it eliminated a lot of waste and minimized the needs for stoves and kitchen utensils in the field. IMGC realized in the very beginning that meals provided have to be culturally acceptable; otherwise people will just waste these provisions. Over 1 million meals were provided and the meals included not only food but high energy bars and biscuits for the malnourished children.
Since 1986, IMGC has come a long way. We are now teamed up with the leading Manufacturers of Halal Meals in Pakistan, Dubai and Malaysia to offer Meals in the latest Retort Packaging with Flameless Heaters. These Meals are good for over two years at high temperatures and can be easily moved and stored. IMGC is also bidding for one of the biggest UN Combat Ration Contracts in collaboration with ES-KO, a Monaco based outfit. IMGC will supply all the HALAL Rations which are estimated to be over 70 percent at 1 million plus in the next 18 months.
