IMGC Edible Oils
IMGC has become one of the biggest players in the 1.8 million MT annual edible oil market in Pakistan. Under the progressive leadership of its visionary Chairman, Sheikh Amjad Rashid, IMGC embarked upon a very ambitious project of setting up a state of the art Edible oil facility in Karachi which is the only port city in Pakistan. Over 75 percent of the raw material used in the industry is imported and flows all over Pakistan via Karachi. With freight costs rising at an annual rate IMGC decided to work for the future and establish a modern facility in Karachi.
IMGC is firmly rooted in value addition. With that vision, this facility will not only have conventional manufacturing facility but will also have a modern refining facility to produce Refined, Bleached and Deodorized Palm Oil (RBD Palm Oil) for production of Ghee. Future expansion plans include oleo chemical processing unit to cater the cosmetic and confectionery industry in Pakistan.
The unit is under construction and will be operational by the end of March, 2010.
