Rehabilitation Operations
After providing basic relief every effort is made to rehabilitate the affected populations. This requires a careful examination of their special needs not only for their economic revival but also for their emotional satisfaction. Due attention is paid to the needs varying with the character of disasters like drought, flood, earthquake and war and conflict situations. IMGC has developed rehabilitation and reconstruction programmes in consonance with the needs of the people. For instance in Tsunami priority was accorded to boats for fishermen while in another disaster situation schools and medical units might be more important. The final aim is the restore normalcy in the affected areas as early as possible.

- IMGC won a very challenging contract in Iraq to provide 525,000 school kits before the reopening of the schools. These kits were prepared with logos on special bags and included 14 exercise books, drawing books, pencils, sharpeners, etc. It was no mean achievement to have the school kits distributed to all the schools in the 18 provinces in Iraq. The performance was appreciated by the schools, government and all other partners. The contract was executed.
